Hi friends,

Thank you again and again for being a premium subscriber. As your support means the world to me, today I’m sharing a poem/video about someone else whose support means the world to me: My dog Squash.

As you’ll see in the video, Squash is hanging out in the background, yawning her face off, bored to pieces by me fawning over her for a solid five minutes. Squash has been my steadiest touring companion since I adopted her a decade ago, and has heard this particular poem too many times to still enjoy it. Once, while reading it at a live performance I brought her up onto the stage of the very fancy church the event was in, and in the middle of the piece she decided to wipe her butt the full length of the very fancy stage rug. The audience was rolling with laughter while Squash gave them the most judgmental look. A look that said, “If y'all are trying to tell me you’d pass up the opportunity to rub your sweet asses on this regal softness, you’re full of shit.”

Thank you for supporting Andrea and their art. None of this is possible without you.
